So here's a succinct (word of the day) summary of what one can expect in this upcoming game- as well as a first look at another thrall; Rapunzel from Tangled! Naturally when the sample is released y'all will have an even better idea of what you're dealing with regarding what a typical scene entails, but for a wider view this covers all the basics that I want to make it into the base game.

I'm aiming for one update a week that will talk about some aspect of the thrallworks universe, starting with the company itself and what thralls are, then branching out into the particulars.

But yeah, roll on otherwise. Enjoy!

There are tons of games out there like this with copyrighted characters tho, and from the sounds of it this one won't be nearly as NSFW as those ones

If it becomes an issue, I'll take it as it comes. At any rate I won't be commercially selling it; all these builds will eventually be released out into the wild. Let them roam free I say!

I dunno if you can sell this or profit from it, but if you keep it free, it shouldn't be a problem. I mean, worst case, hide it but keep working?

A few questions, its gonna be free or paid? There will be a beta rest? If so then could you please show the link to it? How many targets are planned? What type of game it will be (a rpg, visual novel, eroge, etc) Also if you need a helping hand with the developing I would like to help in what I can

It'll be free; there's no way I'd be able to charge with copyrighted characters; though naturally those helping to support the project will get first dibs on any new versions- I guess after a month or two I'd release the version publicly?



Yeah, there's probably going to be quite a few WIP versions as I make it in order to keep myself motivated with progress being made. The shoddiest debug versions will be going to a tier of patrons, but for the general releases, well that's what the 'versions' will be and those'll be available to the public eventually.

More like an eroge I think. Much as I'd love an rpg I just legit lack the manpower and time required to make something like that right and balanced, and- at least for *this* game- it largely doesn't suit. As for a helping hand, obviously any glitches, sprite or grammar errors people find in the versions I release I'd like to be notified of. For other things about it like coding, music, extra art etc., I'd prefer to pay for that, though if people could point me in directions as to where to go for potential hires (not specific people, more like websites for freelance work) then that'd be nice.



A fair stance. Given I'm just one man and not a whole design team, and this is not my job, I do indeed believe it will take years for me to make this game. So long as it seems well supported though, I'd not be inclined to stop working on it.

I’m a little uncomfortable with them being called thralls and the game being called “thrallworks”, what with the actual history of real thralls. I know the whole slave fetish is a bit reminiscent of this, but it’s kinda like calling a game where you enslave black slaves “Plantation Palace”.
