I walk down the street humming to myself a little. I just got out of school for the summer and will have a ton of free time.
So I’m going to go on a bit of a shopping spree at a bookstore, I saved up a lot of money with my part time job as a tutor so I’ll be able to get a few dozen. At least enough to last me for the first two weeks.
It'll be better than just sitting around re-reading the same ones over again for the third time. As much as I love my collection going back to them again isn’t the same as finding a brand new story to enjoy. I do think about how I should write something of my own but no matter how hard I try the moment I sit down I blank out.
Well… mostly...I do get some ideas but they are way too dirty to actually put down on page or screen. What if someone read them?
Just the thought of anyone know what kind of fantasies I have is way too embarrassing, if anyone saw even the most mild one of them I think I’d die of shame.
Looking around it’s only know that I realize that I’m a little lost.
This is not the part of town that I wanted to go to at first...guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention. Well since I’m in a part of town that I’ve never seen before I might as well look around a bit after all this area doesn't look dangerous or anything and it’s not like I’m a kid. Though I am a bit small for my age.
This area seems a bit odd in a way that’s hard to pin down just something about it doesn't seem to fit with the town. But before I have a chance to really dwell on it too much I spot a bookstore.
And even better the sign outside says that it specializes in rare and old books. Some of the best kind.
Nearly running up to the door I enter it and right away I’m greeted by the smell of dust, paper, leather, and ink. It’s wonderful, it’s just the way a place filled with so many old books should smell.
Taking a deep breath I sneeze a little, there’s a bit more dust than I thought at first. Looking around and see that there are so many more books than I had thought, the shelves reach up to the ceiling and are stacked so tightly that you hardly be able to slide a sheet of paper between the books.
Though one book right away sticks out to me.
It’s a single book bound in red leather resting on a small pedestal.
Walking over I pick it up, it’s heavy and nice.

She's just a witch that I've used in a few stories before always had it in mind that she gave me the book.
Her whole thing is selling magic, mostly cursed books.
