Night Vision Goggles, although their primary purpose is to show electromagnetic fluctuations. The Misaka clones are made from the worlds most powerful electro-kineticist (is that even a word?), but they aren't as good at using said power, so it kind of helps them to make better use of their abilities.

Rei Ayanami, though that one had wayyyy fewer clones. Only one aquarium like thing full of them. Maybe a hundred tops.

There were originally 20.000+ made of them, but there was an experiment where they had to fight the white haired guy in the background to the death. Whitey was told by the scientists that they were dolls without free will and personality, and it helped that something was done to fuck with their ability to process/experience emotions.

They are also sort of a hivemind, all of them are connected through a telepathic network powered by their electricity manipulating powers. They can instantly exchange knowledge and experiences. My guess is that this is an AU where whitey messed with the network to create some kind of erotic feedback loop.
