To add to what Jesh said, Carabosse (the fairy) is a familiar you can get in the game. There's a piano in one area, and if you sit at it, Miriam will play a song. If you do this while you have Carabosse's shard equipped, she'll sit on the piano and sing while Miriam plays. This is a reference to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, where, if you had the Fairy familiar equipped, she would very rarely sing a song if you sat in a chair for an extended time.
