This page is scary to me for some reason, this whole comic is good and also interesting but Idk why it makes me scared sometimes. (P.S. anyone new to hypno note that this is imposible to do, they need to approve for the trance, so don't be scared)

Yeah, in fact. Minor spoiler:
The characters will mentions that later, there is something on the town causing this effect and it's not just by swinging a pendulum.

This is part of the script:
Lara: "As I understand, hypnosis is a process where both people should cooperate. The hypnotist as a guide and the hypnotized should be guided
by the suggestions to enter to trance. Which is why you can’t force someone to be hypnotized. However, this isn’t normal hypnosis"
