No, but that's clearly a bucket of ink - which most species of octopi do produce.

Their bodies are pure ink. It's a thing to remember. They dissolve in water because they can't hold themselves together. Of course, that means they'd be incredibly difficult to put down by other means. Lose limbs, or even their whole body? A little ink, and good as new.

I'm convinced they either are or could be very good shape-shifters if they ever thought of it beyond what they know. Even within that framework though, when you consider Kraken, they can increase size and weight significantly, though it takes effort.

Inklings/Octolings are cool, cute, sexy(for some) and incredibly powerful and dangerous as presented. Practically super-soldiers.

This one is technically correct, although "octopuses" is the more accepted plural. "Octopus" is from Greek, not Latin, so the pluralization of an -os ending is -odes
