[spoiler] The Dragoness blinked curiously as she slowly awoke. It felt as if she'd been asleep for... so long. However, she had trouble thinking what had come before her long sleep. She rubbed a taloned claw against her head, why was her memory so fuzzy? How'd she get here? Where was here? She sat on the warm stone in the mouth of a mountain cave. She could sense the soft rumbling of fiery essence within the mountain... a volcano... the first true dragon. Knowledge seemed woven into her memories, though few actually helped tell her who she was. She stood uneasily, flexing her wings and tail to keep her balance. Two legs... she looked at her hands, they seemed both familiar and foreign to her as she opened and closed her claws.

There was a rumble, the flapping of massive wings as a draconic roar cut through the cavern air. The dragoness turned, seeing a great dragon land at the mouth of the cave. His eyes were fiery as he looked her over, blood from a fresh kill dripping from his daggerlike fangs. She felt no fear. She merely approached the male, taking in his scent... he was of her brood, of her blood. She gently pressed her head to his and he returned the gesture, a sign of kinship and affection. Their reunion interrupted by a new roar, one coming from the pit of her stomach. The scent of blood drove her hunger wild as her wings itched to taste the air. She needed to hunt, to find prey. Her eyes glimmered as she stepped to the lip of the cavern ledge, wings stretching wide. She would find out who she was later, why she was here... That could wait until after her first meal.
