Also, fun fact. Kali has a husband named "Ghira" who is also a large black cat Faunus. He's loosely based after Bagheera from the Jungle Book. Just like how "Sienna Khan" is based after Shere Khan, from the Jungle Book. Now if we find some sort of snake faunus from RWBY named "Konner" or something and he has a semblance of hypnotic eyes that release multicolored rings? I'd be all for that.

Maybe he's just tasting her as if planning to eat her.

don't think that'll happen. I may be behind, but last time I checked, pretty much all Faunas were mammals

Ilia is a Chameleon Faunus, and there are at least 2 arthropod-based ones (Tyrian, and a Spider-girl that I can't remember the name of). There are also several background characters that appear to have fins as their Faunus trait.

Exactly. I don't believe there's ever been anything in RWBY that stated "Only mammal type Faunus can exist". I've heard other fans say that and it always baffles me.
