I have to wonder if this is really MC. It seems more like a fusion thing. I guess one might argue that it has corruption elements but then I suppose the question would be who's corrupting who?

Well given the characters involved, I would say this is closer to negative trait amplification. Corruption would likely be Venom > Ivy, since once of its canonical abilities is to amplify rage and other aggressive traits. If Web of Shadows is regarded as canon, then there is an MC element to it (See Wolverine, Black Cat, and any other non-villains who become assimilated in that game for what I mean). If this were part of a series, it would probably be more clear.

well given that venom is so in love with spider-man that no matter what host it's on it still shows off the spider emblem. this is probably ivy corrupting Venom.
