Just a quick and dirty edit I did after noticing how dark the sclera on the original were. Not usually an editor but I thought eh, why not share?

seriously why did nearly every villain in those periods have such eyes

To easily show their evil and/or inhumanity. Remember also that most villain characters were also made to be turned into toys.
