You know, I always love hypnosis stories where skeptics or hecklers get humiliated on stage during a hypnosis show.

meh, hypnotizing skeptics/hecklers for me is a murky gray area of consent, so i dont really like those who do it. great art nonetheless zko, been a while

(note, since someone will try to bring it up.
yes, entering a hypnosis show is implied consent, but a lot of people are there as observers nothing more.
if peer pressure didnt force them into it, they would be saying no, and thus retracting any implied consent, this is why i consider it murky. also stage hypnotists who pick and random and pressure them to come up are huge assholes, unlike those who simply ASK for volunteers)

As far as "non consensual" hypnosis art/stories go, skeptics being hypnotized is unbelievably tame

A heckler isn't "An observer and nothing more" though. They are inviting the person on stage to react to them.

There would be a gray area in the scenarios where say a person is singled out at random and are nervous about it and are pressured to participate, but when it's someone confidently declaring that they can't be hypnotized and marching up to the stage there's really nothing gray about that. The fact that they don't believe it will work does not change that they are actively, and usually loudly consenting to have it tried on them.

Meh, she was kinda being a dick (I find the term "bitch" too lurid to use) about it being all fake and only "Attention Whores" can be hypnotized. If your so willing to call people out, put your money where your mouth is...
