Professor Xavier was befuddled as to how this could have happened. Rogue had gone to investigate an anomaly in the lower city. However, after entering a gentleman’s club, all contact was lost. Before the connection failed, Rogue had mentioned talking to one of the dancers to gather information... then... things grew fuzzy and she seemed to fade away. The last clue he received was her thought:

’...Don’t touch the dancers...’

....It take a significant amount of absorption to overwrite Rogue to that extent. Even hitting Ms.Marvel, which is where she got her flight powers, didn't cause that much overwrite. About the only other time I've known her to overwritev that hjard was in a What-If where she stole Thor to that extent.

I really wanna know what the hell's going on with the dancers that they were able to 'push' their 'personality' on her.
