Just a little joke on how the BoP movie version of... I still can't say it. She can't be who she claims! And this is how I explain it! ^^'

To be clear, it's not the actress or even the 'character' I have an issue with. It is literally just her name. She is NOT Cassandra Cain.


To be fair, the movie's not terrible. My only objection was this character's name. The rest... The fight scene's are good, and while she isn't my Harley, Margot does a good job. Sadly, the movie just didin't really get me to care much.

Ouch. Are you sure about that? I'm a DC nut and I took one issue with BoP, but SW9? I don't even like Star Wars that much and the plot holes and other poor decisions hurt my soul. I'd honestly say BoP had better fight scenes too.

To reference the above comment, Ian McDiarmid's Emperor is the only part of Star Wars I've truly enjoyed since Phantom Menace was released. (That and the fights, of course)

Fair, though I'd say I preferred Margot, but that's just her natural charisma I think. She's not my Harley, but then she's never been asked to play my Harley.

So the movie just stuck a beloved comic character’s name on someone who acts nothing like the character? Can’t imagine that ever happening before...

I agree it doesn’t look bad, just not worth the effort. At least it looks better than “Batman and Harley Quinn”... *fart*

Aye, the worst part is that there's a character name they could have so easily used and it would have fit perfectly. It would have even tied into the Gotham mob family reunion going on throughout the whole thing: Felicity Falcone.

Okay, her being Harley's sidekick by the end of the movie rather than Selina's would have conflicted with the Catgirl thing, but most don't even know she exists. Also, her being an orphan could have explained her ethnicity (to use same actress, 'cos she wasn't the issue), she could have been a bastard child of a mob boss.

Batman & Harley Quinn is an odd experience. I love Bruce Timm cartoons, and it feels like a long episode, which is good. It just feels weird when they bring in sexuality (and I'm not just talking about Harley banging Nightwing when he's chained to a bed). At least that wasn't as bad as the first part of The Killing Joke movie
