[spoilers] This is the totally canon way Jeanne was brainwashed in Bayonetta because it was never shown or implied how it was done. Even in the supplemental material like the comics. Or the anime movie. I assumed it was something like this, a fluffy “Angel Pod” of sorts. It took a while to clarify what I thought an “Angel Pod” looked like... but it turned out great in my opinion.
