I tend to avoid established characters, but I feel like someone else would probably be able to make something of it. And I assume not being able to find good images is not a problem unique to me.

Yep, that's like third of the problem for me.
Another third is coming up with a story around the image (or attempting to) so it's not like you can just paste the text into any random image and it will still work. Final third is actually doing the writing/proofreading and shoddy manip work, which is actually the easiest part.

We could set up some kind of picture sharing group thing? Like, someone finds a good pic they don't plan on using, they share it somewhere, then there's a set of pictures people can draw frim.
As for the text thing... I tend to follow the following process:
1) Look at the picture.
2) Imagine the person in the picture is a hypnodomme. What kind of person would she be?
3) I am now that person. Someone is in front of me I want to control. Where am I? Who is that person? Why do I want to control them?
4) I am still that person. I say the words I think are appropriate to the situation. These words are the text of the manip.
I then do no manipping whatsoever.

I doubt that would work, because everyone has different tastes and want to make different types of stories. Would probably end up like that General Manip Request Thread ><

Oooh, I see. My problem with doing that, especially as I made more and more manips, was that the stories would get too similar (I mean, it's the same person afterall). So I try to mix it up with different personalities, way of speech, etc. Though the overall themes are still the same =P
