This sort of thing in the X, Zero, and ZX portions of the timeline must be fucking horrifying. That actually sounds like a decent plot for a Mega Man X9, sort of an "X-Men 3 handled better" almost.

And I'm still waiting for a Megaman X10 and a Megaman ZX3...and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... damn capcom, fucking cliffhangers xD. Capcom have a lot of potential because of the timegaps and the lack of information about what happened between series.

I get the feeling that X9 is gonna come, and it'll be like Mega Man 11, but suitably big for the return of the ambitious X franchise. ZX... I don't know about that. that might be some ways off, if it'll happen. Point is, after getting the safe simple Mega Man revival out of the way in MM11, and after little hints in the X Legacy Collection, I think we're gonna see it happen sooner rather than later.

They should release a ZX3 prequel where we can play as Ciel biomerged with Model Z making the Biometals
