I always viewed master as a unisex term, I can't really get into the word mistress personally a lot of the time since I grew up with the definition for mistress as "a long-term female lover and companion who is not married to her partner" and often used as a bad thing when I was growing up.

I always felt much the same way. If I ever add "Mistress" into my captions, its not for my sake, but the sake of my viewers. I don't manip for the viewers, but I do make small sacrifices occasionally, despite myself. <.<
