I saw this by chance and I had to do something with it after I saw the title and her name. It's my first time writing more than 6 words on one of these so let me know what you think. I also made a "mothering" tag as I feel like we need one, if that's ok.

Isn’t her name Safesleep? Don’t get me wrong, I have thought before what you thought here, but I definitely recall her name being Safesleep

Yeah I don't think you're wrong. I looked through the rest of sixpathoffriendship's (the artist's) stuff and it seems like that was her original name, which then became her nickname, which was then shortened to Sleepy (with Soraya later becoming her new "real" name).
It said that she has a twin brother called Safewake, although judging from the drastic increase in the quality of art, the age of the account (6 years), the shift from standard MLP ponies to sexy and very humanoid characters and the fact that they definitely draw female characters way more than male characters I'm going to guess that puberty may have had a role to play in the changes.
