Name Change
I’ve been trying to get a name change. I’d rather not join the discord and the person on all the threads that you’re supposed to contact isn’t responding. Any ideas?

This problem has been well known for at least 6 months and the staff is refusing to address it, on the argument that "you just have to be lucky and get alaron to respond". I doubt a they'll appoint a replacement anytime soon.

Staff have discussed the issue previously, though haven't been able to come to a solid solution for how to go about this. For now, the answer to "are name change requests allowed?" is no. If anything does change, we'll make an announcement about it.

Somehow I find it hard to believe that no one is willing and trustworthy enough to take the role. What about the current site admin (SlackerSavior according to the Rules page)? Also, in order to avoid more people asking for who to contact to get a name change, is it possible to update the rule page to say name changes are disallowed?
It's a pretty frustrating situation, I'm sorry if my tone sounds harsh. It's the first time a staff member actually said it's not possible to change name anymore. All other times someone made such a forum post, the only staff answer was unclear or there was no answer at all.

I understand your frustration, and I don't blame you for wanting answers. It hasn't been an issue of questioning who's trustworthy to handle it, but more so an issue of figuring out how to go about it, since the site still continues to have certain technical limitations that most of the staff aren't able to access. Slacker has told me himself that it's outside of his control, so we'll have to find out through SlayerDuck about what our options are.
Essentially, it has been/was possible to change names, though the individual responsible for it hasn't gotten back to us in a long time. So until we can figure out another way to do it, we currently can't change names.
