It's almost like a drug, I imagine. And like drugs, booze, or any other constant exposure thing, there may be side effects.

So that's what this little thread is about. What sort of side effects do you think come from frequent hypnosis/brainwashing/mind control/any other similar manipulation you can think of? Is it something silly, an annoyance at worse? Or could there be some serious health or mental repercussions for going under too often or too long?

Well, considering who I've had brainwashed mostly, I guess that side effects include thinking about their place in the universe. I mean, if your free will is taken so much, it starts to get you thinking you know... after they've been freed from control.

Any number of words or phrases could be triggers for them and cause them to drop at the worst possible times.

There's an easy fix for that. Just put them back in trance forever. Can't have heterochromia if your eyes are always spiraling.

Did a little route for a Naruto cyoa where he conditioned Ino to become a hypnofetishist, making it that in her eyes, him controlling her was the sexiest thing she could think of.

And it was supposed to be that this becomes an addiction for Ino so that Naruto has to tone down the monster he created eventually.
