So now that our week of gaming news has come to a close... What is everyone excited for? What stood out to you as the big games you're looking forward to.

For me personally...

The Danganronpa collection has me hyped. I'll gladly replay them... And begrudgingly subject myself to the end of V3 again. But that new board game mode looks fun! I just wish they had put UDG in as well...

Obviously Elden Ring is a major contender. Looks to me like Dark Souls meets Dragons Dogma, so I'm optimistic.

Metroid Dread also looks cool. It'll actually be my first Metroid game.

Also major hype for Far Cry 6. Another series I have never played, but Giancarlo is enough to get me hyped!

And a real stand out to me was Devolver's "Death's Door" which looked absolutely amazing.

What about you guys?

I haven't seen everything i only picked up the xbox and square ones but i am very excited for Babylon falls as well origins game where you look for chaos.
Also Lost Eidolons for that fire emblem feel.

The fact that people can replay visual novels never ceases to amaze me. You only need to buy all four games at once if you're getting the physical release, btw. I'll only be picking up the board game mode which is basically an upgrade feom the one in V3.

As for me, not too much of note. I guess I like Super Mario Party 2 and SMT5 looks fun. Warioware is nice but I wish they'd make just one Wario Land type game again.

I mean, it's effectively the same as watching a movie for a second time. And much like a movie, your perceptions and opinions on things can change over time, or you may notice things you didn't prior.

And honestly I want the physical more for the steelbook. I'm a major collector of Persona and Dangan stuff. So a steelbook with the posters and stuff is cool.



Yeah. Mario party is great if you have friends to play with but I uh... Don't. And SMT is a little disappointing to me. It's basically Persona but without a lot of the elements that make me adore Persona.

And I agree on Wario Land! I miss those games.



It's possible. My only gripe with Redfall is how Borderlands-y it felt to me. I was kinda over Borderlands when it came out. So games in that similar vein for me are... Meh.

advance wars, and my main from tekken is coming to smash, thats what i care about. Really looking forward to seeing best girl from advance wars fully animated, thatll be awesome. Im not big on the new style for the units and such, i really loved the original style and this new one is just to toyish for my tastes, but the fact that there getting anything at all, and a reveal at e3 nonetheless, is a huge win in my book.

Well actually with Persona and SMT, it's the other way around. Persona is SMT but with some new bells and whistles.

And to be fair, SMT was NEVER the most accessible JRPG series. Was never meant to be, both in tone/setting and gameplay. It goes signifianctly more towards the demon fighting, negotiations and fusion gameplay and goes all in with the darker and more serious apocalyptic settings and the whole Order VS Chaos, God VS Satan motif the series was built on where Persona focuses more on character development in a more relatable and charming setting and tying the gameplay around those things.

Now, I will forever adore Persona and yes, more than base SMT. But I guess my point here is if you look at base SMT or its other spin offs expecting things to be like Persona, or say it’s Persona without what makes you like Persona… Well…. THAT’S THE POINT. This ISN’T Persona, and you're looking at SMT for the wrong reasons. They may be similar, but they’re not supposed to be the same. Almost think of it like Persona is Order VS SMT’s Chaos. But if you throw out everything you know about Persona and take base SMT for what it actually is, there IS a good chance you'll develop some appreciation for it.

That or the game will curb stomp you because it's an unforgiving son of a bitch :P

All I'm gonna say is

1. I wish Xbox/Microsoft would release more Original Xbox ports like GTA 3, Vice City, Project Gotham Racing etc.

2. I am excited for the new Battlefield game

And I hope Square Enix does E3 too.

I believe Enix already showed off games at E3.
