Idea: Hypno Dice
It’s a six sided die. You give someone a command, roll the dice, and they’ll do it to varying levels of obedience. The rolls scale from 1: you’ll barely be able to convince them and they’ll be self aware, to 6: they’ll do the task no problem as they become a happy mindless slave. However, you can’t do the same command twice in a row in case you get a bad roll.

Ooo, I like it ^-^
Although I feel like it can be easily exploited; I.E. "I command you to become my willing and loving slave for the rest of our lives." Then, if you get a one, you can just do something like "Inhale" and reroll

Easy fix: decide on the order before the dice are cast

But that's already the case. But it said you can't use the same command twice IN A ROW, so you could say "be my slave forever" and if it fails you command anything else and then "be my slave forever" again.

Why don't we just remove the three words you have in caps there? Should patch the loophole.

Cheat number 2 from me:

First command is "You will do any task I roll this dice on with the same commitment and adoration you would do if it rolled a 6"

If it rolls a 6, issue solved forever.

If it rolls a 1, move on to command 2: "Every roll on this dice is a 6 to you."

Now, you might THINK that this solves every issue forever, but you still got to be careful with your commands. If you have commanded them to do all as a 6/beleive it was a 6, then you give them a dumb command like "Go and get me the d100 version of this dice from the final boss lair" odds are they will be dead in five minuites.

If I may propose an alternative approach, what if the dice determine the type or style of entrancement, rather than depth?

1: Body controlled, mind unaffected.
2: Sleepwalking
3: Robotic
4: Sleeper agent (follows command without realizing)
5: Madly in love with you
6: Happily enslaved

Effects last until the initial command is completed, or a maximum of 48 hours if no clear end condition exists. For balance purposes, once a person wakes up from their trance, the dice will not work on them again for at least 24 hours. If a person wants to be affected by the dice again, the immunity period is reduced to one hour.

In all honestly, the idea of switching levels of obedience/mindlessness mid-scene isn't uncommon in stage hypnosis. I would lean towards using one of those large novelty foam dice though.

Going off the original rules, you could make this a bit of a game of resisting by adding some extra conditions. If you roll a 1 or 2, the subject becomes more aware/awake. If you roll a 5 or a 6, the subject becomes more entranced. Then, let the subject decide for each roll whether to straight roll, roll twice and take higher, or roll twice and take lower. The subject might choose to take higher if it’s something that’ll be arousing, or they want to do, but as you roll higher numbers the subjects mind becomes more clouded until they struggle to focus. This could help combat the problem where you can issue the same command over and over, because the odds of rolling two sixes is 1/36. Instead you have to entertain them first with ideas they want, and after that you can suggest more difficult things. You could also rule you can’t give two commands that have the same effect, so you can’t just “you want me to roll a six” over and over because it’ll eventually work.
