An interesting free videogame (Re Education)
I have come across a game about mind control called "Re Education" by Purplehat Productions. You can have the typical story where you turn the girl of your dreams into your slave through mind control. Or you can take another path. A very interesting path. I suppose that putting the link of the game here (it's free) would be spam so I will just copy the synopsis.

"Mistress Red, a famous internet dominatrix and hypnotist has been kidnapped…and you are responsible…

What kind of person would use mind control devides if they existed? What would motivate them? What kind of person would they be? And… would they have a chance at redemption?

Zach has been obsessed with Mistress Red’s videos for years, and he has in his possession a highly powerful, and highly illegal mind control device called a Re Education helmet.
Take control of Zach and decide what he does. Mistress Red is in your clutches. Do you go through with it and brainwash her?

Or do you let her go and learn more about the human behind the persona?"

----------------------

I recommend to play first the mind control path and then the other.

I'm pretty sure this would never be considered spam in any reasonable world - this is very much topical to the forum, given it actually concerns MC content and not just some scammer's bot-assisted attempt to post popup nonsense that's infested with viruses. So even though it may have been better to use an existing thread for this, I feel it'd be absolutely fine to post the link (unless it's like, hosted on some shady site promoting illegal activities or something).

A thread about videogames with mind control? I think this case is special. Although it can be played like any other porn game, it offers other possibilities. And I would like to hear opinions about what you think after play it.

You can find it in itch.io:
purplehat-productions.itch.io/re-education

As the creator says:

"Re Education is different from your typical adult visual novel. While it has adult themes, including erotic themes, it's not designed for quick enjoyment.

The story paths are designed to be more of a slow burn, with options that drastically affect the game's outcome. The story is also designed to be a realistic look at how morality can be tested and bent, or completely discarded."

That art style looks familiar. Has the dev done other games/pics in the past?

I have mixed feelings about this.

I like the MC routes, but the writing sometimes goes off on a tangent, and...

It touches on a lot of themes. Incels, politics, personal boundaries, misogyny, how to get away with crimes, and somehow, it just rubs me the wrong way.

With something like Penlight, it's obvious that the protagonist is a jerk, and that the author views the "protagonist" as an initially creepy dude, and the VN is about exploring his dubious choices. The moral of the story is clear: don't be creepy, and here's how.

I'm not sure of the author's intentions here. Am I supposed to empathize with the struggles of the "protagonist"? Or, like in the book Lolita, is it more of an exploration of a twisted mind, an unreliable narrator?

Regardless of what I think, it might be worthwhile to you to see the author's thought process for yourself, so go check it out if you have an hour or two.

I think not, but the author was a member of Hypnohub in the past.

I haven't had time to play penlight yet. But the author says that although he has been inspired by that game, his has differences

Interesting view. I've already played it. My intention was to publicize the game and get the opinion of others. Thank you very much for giving me yours.

I believe that the game speaks of the people behind fetishes and bodies, the possibility of redemption and the consequences of a therapy depending on the patient's response. The MC views in politics or ethics seem more like no way to show his pessimistic and suspicious temperament than the author's positions.

Wanda hangs out around F-List's Mind Control room daily if you'd like to talk to her; she's a pretty cool person and proud of her game. Personally I think she deserves to get some money for her work considering how hard and how long she's been working on this game.

I will love to talk to her, but F-List looks like too complicated for me. Besides, I'm not good at all roleplaying. Even less in english.

I remember a game called "The Facility" , on Hypnopics Collective, same art style.
