New sites, need testers. Migration ETA 1 week from now.
The original creator of this software dropped the project and deleted it from github, only archives remain online such as github.com/Wachhund/myimouto

Originally when the hub moved off booru.org/hypno/ it was to test out the myimouto software for possible migration to it. XSS exploits keep popping up and i don't have a programmer to work on this project nor does anyone seem to pick it up. People find it 'helpful' to continue to break the site instead of fixing it on the open source code.

We will be migrating to gel 0.2, a copy of rule34.xxx software has been duplicated and a sort of matching color schema is applied.
I need people to go to devgel.hypnohub.net/ and test out ALL functions that you would normally use. Uploading, comments, DM's, forum post etc etc. This is a test database with all accounts and data from around a week ago. The database will be wiped so don't worry about spamming it.

Compared to our current software the things added will be:
1) Video's can be uploaded.
2) There is a mobile layout
3) Less/no exploits
4) Software is over 10X faster, pages will load faster.
5) Hardened against spam, bots etc. The majority of improvements done over the past 10 years were anti-spam stuff.
6) In line with rule34.xxx, thus frequent updates will be possible.

The negatives:
1) Less functions, all functions that exist here but not on dev will be lost.
2) More capcha's (for new accounts only)
3) Change in layout, all changes done on the internet breaks tears. I still remember some people felt the need to write a userscript for changing the actual image on the frontpage. Good times.

Will Everything on Hypnohub currently be transferred over, or will we be starting anew?

If you read my post it answers it. "This is a test database with all accounts and data from around a week ago."

After testing all current live data will be migrated, i would never kill a site with 10 years of data on it if that's not obvious already.

My bad, I'm dumb.

I'll be sure to test it out.

Have to admit, I'm going to miss being able to toggle off tags in my blacklist while browsing. I also couldn't figure out how to set exceptions to blacklisted tags (IE: Block images with this tag, unless they also have this other tag).

While I vastly prefer a Danbooru-style website to a R34-style website, I can't deny that something definitely needed to be changed.
R34 URLs are uglier, there are no buttons to navigate between posts in a pool on the post page, just an ugly "This post belongs to one or more pools" that you have to click and then click on the appropriate (usually only) pool, and many other miscellaneous pain points compared to Danbooru-style websites.
Overall, while I'm not thrilled that it'll be R34-style, I'm happy that it's being changed to imageboard software that is under active development.

Changing the tags/ratings of posts is broken on the preview site.
Post parent/child status hasn't carried over either.

Edit: Is there an especially compelling reason not to just use <<github.com/danbooru/danbooru|Danbooru>> or one of its derivatives? That way we'd have pretty much all the same features we have now, and maybe a few new ones too. It's also closer to what we have now in terms of both form and function, so it would probably make for a smoother transition.

Notes appear to be completely broken. I cannot add any new ones, and I cannot view any current ones. The boxes show up, but are only aligned to the full-resolution image. They do nothing if you hover over them or click them.

I'm with bugmenot, I fookin' hate index.php query string urls. Is <<github.com/moebooru/moebooru|moebooru>> a non-starter because it's in Ruby? Doesn't have the same user base as a gelbooru or whatever, but at least it seems to be under development and might not be such a harsh transition. Regardless, Here's what I noticed poking around for a bit:

* The explanation link for iCame is for the rule34.xxx forums.
* Discord link is the wrong one.
* Notes are hella busted and there's no convenient nav link up top. Seems like we use them more than traditional image boards.
* Is the wiki donezo? Gelbooru has one, and it would suck to lose what's currently in there.
* The rating field doesn't appear to be set when editing an image.
* Is there a way to hide stuff from the index page? Might have to change the rules on uploading comics / manga if not.
* Pool navigation is nonexistent, but that could be added later.
* Lots of "rule34" scattered throughout the interface.

rule34.xxx does not have clean urls, so the hub won't have it either. As explained before its essentially a copy.

Spoilers don't work, and generally this seems to lose all of the charm we have. The format looks so cramped and stiff, and especially without avatars it feels so much more like words on the screen than actually interacting with the people here.

Is there really no way that we can use something more Danbooru-like?

Migrating to new booru software is an opportunity to make the Hub better and more modern, but instead it seems like we're taking one step forward and multiple steps back.

No, we will be migrating to gel 0.2 as its the fastest booru software out there and we have active development on it. This is also not a place for complaints or discussion about this. I'm only looking for bug reports to fix. So far i fixed what i personally can do and dev has been notified about:
1) spoiler tags in comments don't work, but forums do.
2) the pools
3) source link falls into comments sometimes
4) post/view has wrong color on the tag count
5) artist:tag fails and white screens.

There will be no avatars until we code it into rule34, spoilers work on the forum but seem to be bugged out on comments afaik. See message above, send to dev as that's beyond my scope.

You can't edit any post that existed before the test site was created, posts uploaded recently work fine.

Setting the title of a post doesn't seem to do anything.

Edit:
Setting a posts's parent removes the post from the posts page.

When you set a post's parent then subsequently remove it, it removes the link to the child post from its parent, but doesn't remove the link to the former parent from the child, nor does it unhide the child post.

titles don't do shit either on rule34 afaik but i gotta verify that. Seems like every edit of imported posts results in internal server error, going to forward this as well
