Hey everyone, I was trying to save some deleted post the other day, but now I can't get to theme. I tried going to the old site, but I couldn't access any of the deleted pics. Anyone got any tips or ideas?

Users were never supposed to be able to access deleted images to begin with. There's no way to access deleted posts on the new site, and the old site had all the previously-deleted images purged, so they aren't there anymore either.

While I totally agree with the idea of permanently deleting images that are supposed to be deleted, that's one of the parts where I feel there could've been slightly better communication, because I'm sure a number of people would've liked to archive some or all of these deleted pics, if only for history's sake.

So yeah, giving people like three or four weeks to go through everything if they wanted to save stuff like this, with an official announcement of "We're switching sites, and images that are supposed to be deleted will now be actually deleted, so save stuff if you wish", in big bold letters somewhere in the posts, for instance, would've been nice.

Speaking as someone who desperately worked on trying to transfer the dying Mental Block wiki from a newly-prude Fandom to a new host, I've never really been a fan of just deleting content with no possibility of getting it back.

I do want to stress I agree with the change in general; I'm merely commenting on one aspect of the execution which feels lacking.

I think we need to have a look at the deletion process soon though. I don't think there's a visible tell for normal users that stuff has been flagged either, and as someone in the main questions thread said only mods have access to the recently deleted page.

I was concerned about obvious hypno content getting removed before, now I'm even more concerned about it.

(Like just before the transfer ~4 gifs from a hentai literally named hypnosis class were removed even though they were clearly hypnosis content)

I have a pile of stuff (mostly snow daze stuff) that I'm afraid to post even though in the past it'd be clearly allowed, because context seems to be completely disregarded now.

Wow, so that's just it then? It's all just dust in the virtual wind now? That's a real shame, there was a lot of good stuff down there if you were willing to sort through the trash.

dam straight, i only really knew about the process in the last 6 months or so, even though ive frequented the site for about 6 years now, and since then one of my favorite pasttimes was to scroll through the deleted stuff and see what i could find, lots of great things from old content creators who took a different path in life and decided to blacklist themselves to manips and the like unfairly deleted by a hasty flag or two. While i appreciate the site update overall (it was sorely needed) to much history was lost here, and if i had known everything ever deleted would be purged like that i would have certainly taken measures like i did when smuthunter was leaving mc behind, all in all, a shame. I hope somebody with more forsite than I managed to archive some of it

At the very least deleting the metadata (tags, source, comments) is pretty much indefensible except arguably in rare cases like giving sources for loli/shota pics.
