I think the new update messed up my account.
I tried logging in and it kept saying the password was wrong even though I use autofill. Did it get deleted? My username was YouDon'tNeedToKnow.

There's been a reported issue that if your password (and possibly username) was really long, the system had a problem with it. If it's just the password, you should be able to recover/reset it.

Some people complained about this a few days ago. Apparently passwords and usernames have a character limit now. If either of those were too long, the site won't read the whole thing.

A username-length limit I can understand, but a password-length limit is somewhat odd.

As I understand it, the general best practice for storing user passwords is to salt it and then store its hash (www.theguardian.com/techn...ing-hashing-salting-sha-2). Therefore, how long your password is shouldn't affect the amount of data you store in the database, and so you should be able to have very long passwords.

Disclaimer: I don't know if Gelbooru's security is better than the old Hypnohub's.

EDIT: It seems that the password-length limit is a bug.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one facing this issue. I mean how stupid the update is, if the developers wanted to set a limit, they could have atleast informed us to change our passwords, rather than just deleting the previous ones. SMH!!
