Post Parenting is broken
I uploaded a new post here:

hypnohub.net/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=141777

and parented it, not knowing this hides from the index on the new site. Now, I can't unparent it, no matter what I try.

Yeah, i have the same problem.
Once you mark as child post you can't remove it.

Even worse, you can't publish links in the comments, not even internal links.

This is a heavy issue for artists and mannipers.

Welcome to my world. Since I make captions of existing manips/art, it gets parented and hidden. And can't be UNparented.

Just as a resource to anyone else suffering from this: I've tried putting "parent:none" and "-parent:<id of parent>" directly into the tags. That should work... but it doesn't. All of the methods to unparent are broken.

Goes to show how broken this is when it is mentions in the site bug forum how not even a mod can't remove the numbers.

Well, there's the option of posting your caption in the comments like you did before all those years ago in the old hub. But I doubt a lot of people will see it or read it.

Agreed.

Yeah, I don't really want to go back there.

Half my pools are gone, I had to reassign most of the artist tags because their category didn't transfer over, I can't edit post comments or add links in them, and the site is now showing me rule34 ads.

I'm not opposed to the site migration, but it was clearly premature: it shouldn't have been done until it was good and ready. Now, who knows how long we'll be stuck in this state.

You can't, the site don't let to publish links. It just give you a message of "you can't post links because you are a new user", and if you try again a "try again and the things will become interesting" message appears, so i guess you will be auto-banned if you try to publish a link 3 or more times.

So nope, the child post system is broken, hide system is broken, and every way to reach to a manual solution is broken too :/

I figured out a workaround: Set the parent to zero. Presumably, this would work for any invalid post id, but zero is the only one I've tested and verified at the moment.

This works!

Also if any of you wanted to see child posts along with normal posts for any reasons, you can search * tags, and this shows all posts.
