What happened? I never read/watched it. What happened in that specific chap as well as in the rest of the manga/anime for you to say it "has always been relatively heavy with the mind control stuff" and that this week's chapter was "hypnohub material"?

Without getting too deep into it, there's a devil called the control devil that has mind control powers and it's a fairly prominent character.

What chapter are you guys referring to? I don't read this, so I don't know what it is.

I assume it's chapter 120? That's the latest one posted on Fanfox and Mangadex.

Btw, are there any other scenes y'all can point to? I know of one where like, if I'm not mistaken, a female ally of the protagonist's gets defeated in combat and returns as an ally of the Control Devil, but unfortunately the takeover isn't shown.
