Recently, a creator in the community that I follow (Duth Olec, who writes quite a lot of stuff that can be found over at cloudycuckoocosmos.com/hypnosisnakerotica/, including the popular “Lamia Pathways” CYOA series) has expressed an interest in creating a hypnosis-themed minigame, with the eventual intent of building a CYOA-style visual novel that uses it as, for lack of a better term, the main “combat” system. The minigame itself would also be available for free use by the community in their own projects.

Since they and I both lack the programming abilities necessary for this task, I have (with their blessing) decided to put feelers out into the community to see if there would be any programmers willing to lend their skills to the creation of the minigame. We are willing to provide compensation for the work done.

To give a rough outline of what the minigame would entail, the key mechanics are a set of stats that deplete over time, with multiple specific actions on the player's part (such as entering a combination of buttons, or repeatedly pressing a button to a specific rhythm) being required to keep them from draining entirely. We have more detailed concepts and ideas for mechanics, but I shall leave them out for the sake of brevity.
