it has a lot of mind control effects as a result. In the lore, at least! Sadly since many of those are for social situations, not combat, most were not adapted for the video game.
The few that did make it in cause domination(obedient to most commands) or fascination(staring in awe at something the magic makes you think is just, so very great).
Anything that says dominate in the name, Bardic Fascination, Beguiling Aura, Litany of Eloquence, the Serpentine Sorcerer's naga form and the Cult Leader's enthrall are examples.
