Beyblade X appreciation thread
I know this thread probably isn't going to get a lot of traction, but as a grown-ass adult who has fallen back in love with Beyblade with the release of the X line, I'm really interested to know if there are any others here who are into this hobby and would enjoy talking about it.

Well, no hits here yet, but I'm not giving up on finding other people here to talk about Beyblade with. I figured I'd share a video about Beyblade X, and more specifically, being an adult Beyblade X player that I really liked. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpGpiWIkf5Y

That was a pretty good video. I respect Beyblade as a hobby and hope it becomes a well-established niche pseudo-sport. I attend a day program weekly. We talk about pop-culture stuff every Friday. One of these days, we could probably discuss Beyblade X.

I'm up for talking about it, even though I haven't played the game in decades. I never knew about the point system. That's pretty interesting.

(If only Beyblade had waifu's on the level of yu-gi-oh. lol)

Yeah, Beyblade isn't generally known for its female characters, though there are some cute ones in this gen.

beyblade.fandom.com/wiki/Multi_Nana-iro
beyblade.fandom.com/wiki/Sigrid_Nana-iro
beyblade.fandom.com/wiki/Meiko_Myoden
beyblade.fandom.com/wiki/Yuni_Naniwa

I'm still hoping to find more people on here who are into Beyblade. I found one person on the Discord, but I'm hoping to find enough to start a small Discord channel where we can all discuss the hobby.

I like X, and the unique take that it has taken the franchise. It has very great moments and characters, but I still can't get over the fact that almost always they do dirty to Bird, he really needs a win someday.

Just out of curiosity, are you collecting the tops as well, or are you only watching the anime/reading the manga?

I've been out of the hobby for a while now, but the X line has piqued my interest.

I miss the 5 part system that metal fusion had, to be honest. I like more customizing more than I like the burst gimmick and streamlined parts.

Glad to see some more people showing interest. If I may help push some of you closer to buying, here's another video about the new line from toy YouTuber JettKuso: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OUlVBByiok

I should note he get a few small things wrong just because he's not usually a Beyblade guy (he's more known for his Bakugan videos). But he points out a lot that's great about X.

I think we'll see more parts eventually. Like maybe the blades will eventually split into 2 separate components. They always start a generation out simple before getting more complex. But at least for now all the parts have a distinct and noticeable effect on a Bey's performance. For a long time in Metal Fusion, the only parts that really mattered were the attack ring, spin track, and tip. The energy ring did next to nothing and the face bolt didn't matter until they added the metal ones.

For the moment only watching the anime and reading the manga. Although I have in consideration buying a Dran Sword because I really like that bey.

Dran Sword is probably the most re-released Bey at the moment (which makes sense, since it's a protagonist bey). I only have one right now, though, the red version.

I go to a lot of conventions, and Beyblade is probably one of the few things that are gets universally sincere positivity.

Looking forward to tomorrow. It's pay day, and I'm getting another Beyblade haul.

What would you name a hypnosis-themed Beyblade in Beyblade X? My best idea is Hypnotist Pendulum. Though I'm not sure what sort of gimmick I'd give it.

Wouldn't the most obvious gimmick to give a rotating object be the best choice?
