I want to use an Avatar that does not have anything to do with hypno. Am I SOL or can I do something like upload non-hypno pic to the site, make said pic my avatar, then delete the pic from the site?

You're SOL. We don't allow the uploading of non-hypno pics just for avatars (and deleting it afterward would just delete your avatar too).

If you're dead set on not having hypno in your avatar then you're pretty much SOL. But there was one guy who uploaded a pic solely for avatar use. It was a generic picture of a guy pointing his finger and spirals coming out. Basic hypno stuff but it counts.
