I refuse to buy things on Origin. I could play a "friend's" copy, but that comes with its own hassle and risk, and I could just play another game instead. There's no want for options these days.

I only have origin for mass effect cause steam does not have all three games.
It's the corporate version of "I don't stick my dick in crazy."
People complained a lot about SimCity not working at launch, about ME3's ending being rushed, about Titanfall being too expensive for what you get. I would have bought all 3 games immediately on release day if they were available on Steam; but the same corporate culture that resulted in Origin also resulted in the issues that those games had. Keeping away from companies that do highly visible things to increase profits but clearly have no value whatsoever to the customer is remarkably effective at avoiding "unknown unknowns".
Who would've thought that a high number of players cause a high server load....That's impossible! Am I the only one who thinks BF4 is just BF3 with patches(~BF3.1)?
