So, I'm kinda making an MC visual novel.

Using TyranoBuilder for the engine + Kisekae for the art + whatever random backgrounds/sound effects/music I find online.

The story is simple. A young woman (you) has been kidnapped by a group of mind-controlled slaves of someone known only as "Master", and you're next on the list to be brainwashed. There will be a few choices and branching paths, but don't expect something "feature length" so to speak. I venture that when it's all said and done, each route through the story will probably take only about 15 minutes to beat. If that.

I just started it today though, so don't get all excited. It'll probably be a while until it's done.

Just kidding, your thread probably just went by under the radar (even happened to me when I announced a sleepymaid interactive comic, no kidding) with all the mustache hub craze going around.

Looking forward to your game, kisekae sounds like a good idea if you can't get custom art (which is expensive especially in such a project) and the parts of Soushinjutsu 3 where you played a girl getting hypnotized and introduced to a high school hypnosis sex cult are one of my favorite parts in visual novel gaming, so I'm looking forward how your game turns out :).

Agreed, it can be very funny. And you can do pretty good stuff with kisekae.

(by the way I really need to find how to have those soushinjutsu and saimin series...)

Good luck. Speaking as someone that has been making games for a while it's pretty tough.

My advice to everyone starting out is to make something very easy, short, and simple first. Focus on finishing, NOT on perfect quality. You want something done. You need the confidence you get from having a short, finished product.

You need lots of little finished products before you tackle any big ones. You seem to have the right resources, so good luck!

Well uh... this is awkward...

Seems that the game is canceled!

See, I've been having some issues with certain websites loading things like images and flash windows, so I cleared my cache and temp files and stuff. This fixed the problem.

...However, it also wiped out all of my Kisekae saves since they are stored in temp files...

This means that not only are the characters I was using in the VN gone, but even if I had saved their codes (which I don't think I did...) I had a centered window at a specific zoom setting saved for taking the screenshots to use in the game... and that save is gone, so now nothing would be even...

Oh, damnit! I feel your pain. I've done things like that before.

No chance you'll just buckle down and remake the Kisekae content like a champ, eh? Depending on how badly you want to make this game, it might be worth the effort.
