Hey guys... there are quite a few of you who got declined on patreon

out of 271 dollars... I am only getting 90....

that's WAYYYY too much of a cut......

what's worse is... there are a bunch of anonymous donators... so I don't know who else got declined besides the ones listed.....

this is very common with patreon
it's trivial to get free content from that site by declining charges or even just cancelling afaik
seen artists complain about it before, accept it or don't use it

Couldn't they just make it so the first payment is in advance or something like that in order to solve that problem?

That is generally why Patreon sends you a reminder not to send out rewards until you confirm if their payment went through every time someone sends you a pledge. Although, that is impractical for rewards that go out to a large number of patrons on a regular basis. It's so much easier to make a free post to everyone at a pledge level and higher than it is to email the rewards one by one.

Still, 90 dollars is more than 0 dollars. Instead of thinking of it as over a hundred and fifty dollars lost; just consider it 90 dollars gained.

Better than my average. I always make about $200 less than is pledged. You just gotta live with it. It isn't like free money is ever a bad thing. Just don't count your dollars until they're in the bank.

So this actually helps out a LOT with rewards.
