Nested Child Posts
I've been uploading a few images and noticing that I could rig up two different sets of child posts but I'm unsure how it'd look as it'd be as follows

Parent
-Child (Textless variant)
-Child (Sequel)

I'm unsure how to best set this without confusion as a two or three image sequence doesn't really justify a pool but each has a textless version which could be useful for manipers if they wished to use the image for what they can do (or for hard translation template)

Due to Hypnohub using non thumbnail images for child posts it could lead to confusion where each child goes outside a separate post number being listed

I apologize for the late reply. I've been rather busy, lately.

The best way to handle this situation would be to use the pool system, assuming there are three images in the sequence (excluding alternative images, such as the textless versions). Even if it seems silly to have a pool for something only three images, it's the minimum threshold for creating a pool, and it would just meet that criteria.

If there are only two images in the sequence, then they're generally just parent-child. As you stated, this can get confusing because you have a legitimate sequential child for the first post as well as a textless variant. In this case, it's probably best that we allow a pool for this sequence despite it being so short in order to avoid confusion.

All in all, your predicament outlined here does bring to light a bit of a flaw with how we're handling pools and child/parent decisions. I might get together with Henry and consider altering our pool and parent/child policies to make it so all sequences, regardless of lengths, get pools. Or something like that.

I could also just leave a 'shoot me a message if you want the raw' I guess.

Just wanted to have some food for thought at least

Forgot if Parent posts should have notices that they have children but I have a post in a pool with a child and the notice that the post has children isn't there

Did you enter its parent information during the upload process? This is a known bug, and it happens then. It can be fixed by unparenting the parent post and then reparenting it again.

You can try what I suggested yourself or, if you're too lazy or it doesn't work, just link me to the parent post in question and I'll handle it.
