Hey, I'd just be happy that you got that much time out of those parts. That's practically a computer miracle! You definitely got more out of them then they were worth. XD

lol, reminds me of my old computer, 15 year old parts with about 5 separate times I moved house with them and only a year ago the hard drive failed on me. only part that broke but figured better to get an all new computer then replace each part to work with an up to date hard drive XD

Longest i've seen a PC last is 8 years, a Dell with Windows XP from 2003-2011, and it was on its last legs for two of those final years with a godawful startup time.

First laptop had a 4-year lifecycle (with a mini expansion on it when i took it out of retirement a few months afterwards to use for an internship), and that's what i'm planning on this one. I think after this i'll go for a Desktop/Surface Pro combination instead.

This assuming that i get a grown-up job in 2016 with my shiny new Master's Degree <_>. Present laptop was bought on college graduation money, otherwise i could have never afforded it.
