So there's Hypnosis in Persona 4 Dancing All Night

I'm still early in the game but there is definitely some mind control shenanigans before the first dance battle. AND MY GOD NAOTO SHIROGANE, MY WAIFU, IS THE FIRST FUCKING VICTIM.

It's an odd form of mind control, the shadows in this game carry a large yellow ribbon, when it wraps around you, it hypnotizes you into believing you need to give in to them, and become what they want you to be. Naoto's eye color slightly changes and she gets empty eyed as she tries her hardest to resist before passing out and accepting it.

Figured I'd let you guys know.

Well damn. I was thinking of getting the game but that statement just seals it!
...And now we wait for P4DAN manips and art to roll in.
Also, side note, I think my P4 waifu is Chie. Don't know why, but I've just fallen in love with her.

Gracias! I was just about to do the same.

And yes, this is confirmed mind control. Naoto calls it brainwashing in a scene later on in chapter 2. I am assuming the Idols you have to save get hypnotized as well and you have to save them.... WITH DANCING

I'm watching the video, and can't help but think that it would be so much more amazing if it had full proper anime cut scenes.

Alternately, after P3 movie, will we be getting P4A the Animation, P4AU the Animation, and finally P4 Dance all Night the Animation? :D

most likely not after the travesty that was Persona 4 Golden the animation. It wasn;t bad but it fucking tried to sell Marie like crazy.

Watch the normal persona 4 animation, it's actually in english and it actually adapts the P4 story better than the game in some places!

I loved Persona 4 Golden the Game - one of the reasons I bought a Vita and I did not regret it. The Persona 4 Animation was also decent, reflecting scenes from the game pretty good.

But from then on it went all downhill with golden the animation and the spin off games. Not a fan of them. What annoys me the most in the video posted is the bad voicework. I can't remember it being so bad in the vita game, but maybe my memory is just playing a trick on me.

these actors are all the same from P4G except Rise.

Kanji is also now voiced by THE Matt Mercer (aka classic Dante, and Leon S. Kennedy)

Have you even tried the spin off games? They are actually canon to P4G and are very decent games. I respect the fact that each one tries a new genre. The arena games are very good tournament fighters, Persona Q is a dungeon crawler based off another atlus game, and so far, Dancing All Night is a very good Rhythm game, it was made just as a love letter to the fans who loved the music in the persona games.
