I'm starting a Twitch gaming channel, called 'ProphetWild'. Had a cousin walk me through how to do a live stream of games off of my desktop, and tonight I tested to see if I could get things working. Things look good, so I'm going to do my Twitch debut tomorrow night between 7 to 9 pm PST.

Feel free to come watch me do a blind playthrough of Fairy Fencer F. There'll be cracking jokes and taking in the story as I feel my way through what kind of Let's Play-er I want to be.

Ahhh... I know that feeling of diving into the world of online game streaming. It felt so weird to me at first. I had no idea what I should do or how to be entertaining. I mostly just tried to mimic bits of the styles of LPers and YouTube personalities I liked. It took a while before I finally got more comfortable with it and started being more myself. Talking about it now makes me wanna do it again, actually.

I stream too sometimes. It's fun.

Maybe I will pass by your stream, if timezones allow me to.

Streaming is fun.... if you have a decent PC that can actually stream.

For some reason, I can only stream on YT using Wirecast. Anything else I've tried using makes whatever I'm playing complexly unplayable.

Well, I'm using OBS, which works really well with Twitch and Youtube gaming. I'm just trying to fine-tune everything and work some kinks out. My first stream last weekend had an issue in the form of NO GAME AUDIO. My voice came through just fine, and the game audio was playing in the OBS window, but there was no game audio coming out on my Twitch channel.

Going to chat with my cousin in a while to try and work the problem out. If I can't get it to work, then there'll be a second two-hour stint with no game audio (hopefully I'll have everything ironed out by a week from tomorrow). Of course....I've got a head cold, so if I haven't recovered enough, I may just skip streaming tomorrow.

Okay, good news is that my head cold is just about gone, so the stream will be taking place in 20 minutes. As for the audio issues, I'm still working on them, but I think I might have a handle on them for tonight. Worst case scenario, it'll just be me talking again with no audio from the game itself.
