Trials of Lust Suggestions/Discussion
As you may or may not know, I'm making an RPG called "Trials of Lust". I'm currently taking suggestions and questions at the moment so, if there's anything you would like to see in the game, please list it here. I'll try to answer as many questions as I can.

Gotta give us links, bro. Or is the stuff in the pool everything that's extant so far?

I have two questions! Do you have an idea for what the combat system would be like, and is it more standard or unique compared to the average RPG if you have an idea? The other is what program are you using to make it?

That's what's confirmed to be in the game so far. I have a load of Ideas but I haven't payed any artists yet and I haven't found someone to do the coding for the game. Once I get myself another job, I can do all of that myself.

I plan on it being turn-based. As for programming, I wouldn't know since I won't be handling that. I'd rather find someone that knows what they're doing than try to do it myself. I'll work on that once the writing is finished.

One possibility might be to use something like Ren'Py to make more of a visual novel instead. You'd still need art assets, but at least then programming won't be much of a concern, while the possibility of more complex scripting still exists later down the line.

That might be a good idea. I'll consider that.

I saw in your last photo that you're taking help with writing? I rather like the setup you have here, this kind of story is right up my alley. What sort of help would you like?

Right now, I have 3 others helping with the writing. Not looking for writing help right now. I can use help with art and game design.

Game development? *ears prick up*

My first bit of advice would be to look at doing the programming yourself. Things go much quicker when the designer is the one implementing. You can bring someone in later but if you have the basics down you'll be much more likely to find someone. As a games programmer myself (full time professional, part time indie) I'd be more likely to join a project that had something done then one just starting. It proves you're serious.

I'd look at engines like Twine or Ren'Py to get started. I know SleepyMaid used TyranoBuilder for her game and kinda hated it so maybe stay from that one XD

Www.Sortingh.at is a pretty good site for starting gamedev. Gives advice on various engines, resources and the like

Good luck!

I'm pretty sure people should have at least limited pick of fetishes. I mean, possibility of replacing single encounters on their banlist with backup encounters. I love catgirls and slime girls, for example - but it doesn't mean someone wouldn't be turned off by catgirl or slime girl. If there was option of negating one encounter, getting replacement in return, it would make game weight more - but also would make it work for more people.

That's just my point of view.

I would love to have a wide variety of fetishes but I'd like to keep Hypnosis as the main fetish.

Would you rather have this game be an RPG or a Visual Novel?

Tough choice. Monster Girl Quest was following the visual novel route, but I found it lacking in MC, so an MC-centric visual novel would be nice.
