After, regrettably, doing a genocide run and reaching the end, I came to where I was face-to-face with the original human. I.E 'Chara' (Which I think is the community-given name.). Well, after refusing to destroy the game itself (You are given an option) Suddenly my game left Fullscreen mode (It was still running) and the other programs I had running (Including my recording software) closed out. After a jumpscare (You can look it up if you want) played out, my game crashed. Now when I load, I get nothing but a black screen with creepy wind noises. The creepiest part is, My recording (I use Fraps, so, It stops recording when the program closes.) is gone. I know I was recording because I had the Red numbers up showing my FPS. Is that a thing that can happen? Can anyone help explain this to me? What exactly is going on? I tried looking it up online, but, most places are really vague or people don't want to talk about it. Or they call me a monster for doing the Genocide run. Does ANYONE know what's going on?

Maybe you should have thought about that before going genocide. Just because you can doesn't mean you have to, you know.

Chara is their actual name, by the way. Try and choose it as a name when you start a new game.

Look, I don't need more criticism about MY choice of what I do. In the end, if I want to feel good, I can watch my friend and his Pacifist playthrough. THEY ARE JUST CHARACTERS. No matter how they make you feel, in the end, they are pixels with text there to tell a story. I was curious, so, I did it.

I noticed that. I didn't play, but when talking to fans of the game I went "So what happens if I kill everything" and everyone was "Omg why would you hahahahah suuure, you'll regret it ahahahaha loool"

The game crashing and the black screen are supposed to happen. The rest of your programs crashing doesn't seem to be. My guess is that FRAPS crashed because it was trying to record a game which crashed, and the recording was corrupted as a result.

If you want to look at the Undertale wiki, it has info on the black screen.

If you wait on the black screen for 10 minutes you'll be able to 'bring back' the game.

But basically, unless you do some registry editing, you've irrevocably fucked up the game's world, and won't be able to get the best possible ending.

I'm not sure if you get to complain about large fandoms with a Fire Emblem name and av. ;p
