So recently I've been taking a look at the tags for some images, and I've found that a lot of them are... Very unnecessary. Near-Repeat tags, tags that go without saying, etc etc. An example is how we have both the open_mouth tag and the mouth_open tag. I think someone needs to find these almost-duplicate tags and remove them.

open_mouth is the correct tag. Sometimes people don't know what the official tag is (and I'm guessing don't use the auto-fill feature) and unintentionally make new ones.

We also appear to have a tag for ring_eyes, which to my knowledge are the exact same thing as kaa_eyes.

Apparently there is a distinction (hit the ? next to the tag to see the wiki's definition) there. kaa eyes are a subset of ring eyes, where the rings come in more colors or something.

Not exactly. Those two tags are actually separate for a reason. You can check their definitions in the wiki.

Kaa eyes extend beyond the iris. Doesn't sound like much, but it's a big stylistic distinction, IMO.

We try to keep all the tag discussion to that thread and use it to try and keep tags tidy. I'll lock this thread and the conversation can be brought over there.

Anyway, thanks for bringing up the mouth_open tag. I aliased that to open_mouth, which is the proper tag.
