After re-reading my past mails, I think you are having the same problem I was. So I'll just post the mails here -

That being said, Saimin Yuughi does not work with ITH, you need to use agth for it instead.
Edit your shortcut of Saimin Yuughi (rightclick -> Properties) and enter the following line into the target field:
E:\agth\agth.exe /c /x /HAN-10@00492607 /KS1 "E:\Eroge\Staffing\催眠遊戯\催眠遊戯.exe"
With E:\agth being the directory of AGTH and E:\Eroge\Staffing\催眠遊戯\ being the directory for Saimin Yuughi.

It I try to start the game without ' /c /x /HAN-10@00492607 /KS1 ' on the target line it works, but then I run into the same problem as I did with ITH (missing hiragana).
Missing hiragana = essentially what you were saying by 'dropping the less dense characters'
HME -
It's a standard memory violation error.
You cannot run it without the /c /x /HAN-10@00492607 /KS1 - only if you run it with that line it will give you the selection of the "User hook" once text appears on the screen that has the correct japanese signs in it. My guess is, since the command did not work correctly, it hooks into the same string that ITH found. I did a quick test and yeah, without that line it looks the same for me.
Could be a couple of things like ...
- Double check if you have it correctly in your target window. It looks like it somehow hooks to the wrong
- Make sure you start it with admin rights
- Make sure both format and Regional schemata in your Windows settings are set to japanese
I am running Windows 7 64bit which had the least problem with Eroge because almost anyone runs it. I dunno how it is on Win 8.
If nothing helps get back to ITH - attach it to the saimin yuughi exe file and get some text rolling on the screen. In the ITH window there's a long white open space below all the buttons like "Process" "Thread" etc.
You can enter stuff there. Like ... the HAN code I gave you above (without the options). So entering /HAN-10@00492607 should get you a response in the Consoleoutput of ITH like:
3628: UserHook1
3628: Additional hook inserted.
3628: Insert address 0x00492607.
You can now select the Userhook0 and it should work fine. Bad thing is you have to do it manually every time you start up the game - but it works. I tested it on my PC and it works fine - if you get another memory error then I do not know what prevents it - but try it out first.

After testing out some more it seems to be the /x that is the problem. /c /HAN-10@00492607 /KS1 works fine and there's no missing hiragana/shows in TA too.
Hopefully that helps you. Also hope HME doesn't mind me pasting their mail out =x
