Believe me, you never want to go full magical realm.

But if you can be stealthy, by all means try and toss your fetishes in. MC can make for good plot points, if done right. It's also really awful when done wrong, so it's a bit of a risk.

TBF, the only thing you'd really need to add into Shadowrun is a system of long term suggestions and overcoming it with will. Probably something along the lines of an Intuition or Logic skill 'mind control'. If you used long term test rules set to about a half minute or so, with something like 1-4 dice per 'success' on a given suggestion, it would be fairly interesting. That's the simple start, the sky is really the limit in that system, especially since certain bastards (particularly Deus in the Renraku arc) tamper with the human brain extensively, with fairly interesting results.

Otherwise, you already have BTLs, Trid Illusion spells effective enough to fool electronics and magic that bluntly controls thoughts or bodies (mob mind and control thoughts iirc).
