WIP Hypnosis Game
I don't browse the forums a lot so I'm not sure if this has been posted already but a quick search tells me that it hasn't so I just wanted to share a Work in Progress game I stumbled across called Hypno Slave. It's in development right now and they're pretty active with updates.

This is their blogspot page for the game: hypnoslave.blogspot.com/ where you can download the beta and it also links to their Patreon in case you wanted to support them.

I gave it a few hours, but unfortunately I have to say that I do not like it at all. For a game called "Hypno Slave" there is shockingly little hypno in it. It doesn't even follow it's own premise! It starts off with "Oh these girls are hypnotized not to notice you as long as you don't interact with them, but you'll have to train them to let you do more than look. Here, have a pocket watch" and the very first scene following that the one girl is already ready to be fucked with no hypnotic training what-so-ever.

The game has a MUCH greater focus on this ridiculous fighting game that has nothing to do with mind control and that you can't truly opt out of because it penalizes you that is not even remotely well designed. Sometimes attacks just flat out do nothing for no apparent reason, the enemy will sometimes just arbitrarily heal all the way up and restore their shields while your HP and shields barely go up by 1 every several turns.

I can not begin to describe how amazingly frustrating it is to chip away at 5 armor and 7 HP on the chest (because that's the part that gives regen so you have to knock it out first) 1-2 points at a time, have your turn end with 1 HP to go only to have it magically reset to 7 HP and 5 armor again! The opponent is also apparently allowed to attack several times every turn while you are limited to a single basic attack per turn, or defend (which does NOT reduce the damage you receive) in order to get enough stamina to do an attack that does more.

And seriously what does ANY of the game have to do with hypnosis? Beyond the opening claiming the girls are hypnotized, I did not see a single bit of mind control going on. All the scenes I had unlocked were all training via physical abuse. Hitting someone until they agree to do what you want is NOT mind control!

Now, if you are into more physical slave training, it's possible you might like this game more than I do; since I tend to enjoy the mental aspect of control more than physical. Though that fighting game is all kinds of messed up and the lack of a good tutorial doesn't help. The tutorial was very rushed and seemed extremely reluctant to truly explain anything beyond "This is a thing. Pay attention to it."

Your criticisms were very similar to mine. However, I believe the person in charge said that they have taken some feedback from those who have played the beta to change some things, such as the combat and the lack of hypnosis.

I wouldn't be opposed to giving it a second chance if a future version fixes the problems I mentioned. I'll have to remember to edit my post to say that it refers to an older version of the game when it does update to include a better focus on mind control.

I mean, I don't have any substantial proof, as there isn't alot of information about the game yet. However, one thing I believe I know for sure is that I believe that they are working on changing the game from downloadable, to being playable in the browser. Any other info is based on what I got from reading the comments on their patreon and blog.

That would be a terrible change. The game was almost half a gigabyte large! Having to re-download it every time the browser cleared it from the temporary files would be amazingly inconvenient unless they somehow manage to cut the filesize way down.

I agree that it would be an awful change, but as I said before, they haven't been very informative as to what their plan is. This is all they said about the change;

"First, we decided to refuse from Ren'py source and transfer our game to another game source. That means, that we change game platform and now will be using web browser for playing. "

It's also quite possible that I have misunderstood a few things, because (and this is just an assumption) I don't think that English is their native language. (could be wrong though)

Coincidentally, I tried this game a few days ago. Played until I finished everything available (couldn't find 3 scenes, though - I don't think they're actually available in-game, even though they're counted).

I disliked it.

Changer outlined just about all of my complaints in his large post, too.

The funny part is, not only are you given a pocketwatch at the start, and it's not used in the next few scenes... The truth is it's not used AT ALL. The pocketwatch you're given is never mentioned again.

Eh, I'll probably keep a loose eye on it, myself. But my expectations are very low, as far as a hypno-game goes.

Plot twist: It's actually by Ubisoft, and it's actually Arno's "iconic" pocket watch. IT'S A CONSPIRACY TO MAKE US PRE-ORDER USELESS JUNK!

I actually liked that pocket watch. I just wish it was battery powered rather than wind up. And didn't stick at the one for a few seconds.

Pocket watches are cool, and that one was surprisingly well made.
