Favorite movies?
I've seen threads for favorite games and anime on here, but not for the world of cinema. So, is it okay for me to ask what the hub likes for film?

My picks (went for ten out of convince sake):

Oldboy.
Hot Fuzz.
Pan's Labyrinth.
Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut).
Unbreakable.
Jurassic Park.
Cloud Atlas.
Se7en.
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Naked Lunch.

Funny. I study film, and like, half my day involves it, but putting a favorite film list together is damn hard. I mean, I can like, list most other things, but not film.

I have one movie that is my definite favorite.

It's a 1993 Canadian drama called "Men don't tell". You can catch it on Youtube. It's the best movie I've ever seen. Beautiful and sad movie, had me in tears.

I might add some more later but the one that pops up highest on my list is 'Bringing up baby' Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant. The first time I saw it I was very, very sick. But it made me feel so much better.

Ooh boy, that's a toughie. My top three's pretty solid (though not in any particular order), but the rest are a bit more up in the air. I'll do my best with the other seven.

1) Beauty and the Beast
2) The Incredibles
3) The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
4) The Big Lebowski
5) The Matrix
6) Pierrot le Fou
7) Seven Samurai
8) Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (extended edition is a must)
9) Kill Bill (I consider both volumes the same movie)
10) Spaceballs

Blues brothers all the way. It's nothing but car chases and great music. What more do you need? Also fond of martial arts movies. Ong Bak and Enter The Dragon are still the best IMO

Would you consider volume 3 as such, or a sequel? It's in the works, Tarantino just wants the black girl to age.

I didn't watch a lot of great movies as a child as most of them were cash grabs or made by shitty directors.

Spiderman 1 and 2
The Matrix
Jurassic Park
Up
Wall-E
Forrest Gump
Guardians of the Galaxy
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
V for Vendetta (mostly for the soundtrack)
Creed

The Shawshank Redemption
The Great Gatsby
The Usual Suspects
Gangs of New York
Guardians of the Galaxy
Just to name a few

Awwww, I can't believe I forgot the Blues Brothers. I was wracking my brain for classic comedy and knew something was missing.

Nah, just a sequel. I only consider 1 and 2 the same movie because they were clearly split in half for runtime concerns, which allowed Tarantino to pad them out into two full movies.
