actually Doom '16 was REALLY good. Like insanely good. It's the multiplayer for the game that sucks.

I'm just shitposting. Doom was a blast. And now for them to fuck up Quake after two good games.

It felt so odd when Doom's multiplayer was weak, given how it was the origin of the classic norms of the FPS genre. (Apparently the mode that involves transforming into a demon does a pretty good job of it - because the transformed player may be OP as hell, but they're worth a ton of points too, so they want to flee as much as they can.)

Still, the solo play was totally worth it.
