I know it's not a game you want to spoil. Describe my options with minimal spoilers. After that, I think this'd be a useful thread for other games, like modern Fire Emblem (fucking not-tharja is in birthright fuck.)

Chie: A kung fu movie lover and carnivore
Yukiko: second banana to chie, has a really dumb laugh and her persona's name is hard to pronounce
Rise: pop idol who's taking a break from showbiz
Naoto: if Sherlock Holmes was a girl who pretended to be a boy. collectively referred to as best girl

Yukiko's also a "yamato nadeshiko" type. Demure and pretty, gets compared to royalty a lot.

Yumi: Theatre girl with daddy issues
Ayame: Music girl with self-esteem issues (looks like a loli)
(note: dependng on whether you join Drama or Music clubs, you'll never see one of the two above girls again afterwards)

Sola is the best girl in the Sunrider games. She should be the main girl!

You should check it out, The first game is free, It's a VN/Tactics game set in space. Your home planet gets taken over by enemy army and you have to fight and reclaim it.

Sola shows up midway and is your sniper and is hte best person to get upgrades for. She can one shot most enemies, Only issue is she can only get like two shots off per turn.

Though her Worst ending in ReTurn is by far the most depressing thing in the game.
