Game Freak knows our struggles with the cliché Hypno doujin overload and decided to give us more possibilities; think about it, they already gave us Malamar in Gen 5 and now this. Something is definitely going on and I like it.

It may not be the most beautiful Pokemon but I'm ready for whatever it brings

I just really liked that they could have stopped at pheromones or people feeling dizzy, but no, straight up humans and Pokemon could be controlled by its will. Someone up there loves us.

There's plenty of Pokedex entries that are sometimes useless to gameplay, to the point where they make no fucking sense. Remember the boy that just out of the blue turned into a Kadabra?

I wonder if that's a trait that carries over in anyway at all to its evolutions. Like Someguy said, like a lot of other entries it could be favour text that ultimately has no bearing on anything official.

We can pretty much assume Salandit will at least learn relevant moves though. They're all already there, it'd make sense to.
