Sometimes there are two songs that aren't based on same tone, or even same tempo, but if played together, give something bigger rather than random noises.

The Mother 3 Love Theme from, well, Mother 3; and N's Farewell from Pokemon Black and White. If you transpose them into the same key and play them at the same tempo, they fit together super well and sound beautiful. (They're also both by Ape Inc. aka Creatures Inc., so that might be part of the reason why)
